Exploring OpenClaw: Setting up a Local-First AI Agent Gateway
I recently started exploring OpenClaw, an open-source, local-first AI agent gateway that provides a unified control plane for sessions, channels, tools, and events. This post touches on my initial setup and how I’m planning to use it.
The Ecosystem and Vision
OpenClaw connects various chat channels (like WhatsApp, Discord, Slack, and Signal) and provides agent-driven automation, a robust web control UI, and even native clients for macOS, iOS, and Android. By acting as a central hub, it allows for multi-agent routing, meaning you can have different isolated agents handle different tasks or talk to different channels.
